Fairtrade Banana and Chocolate Flapjacks

Probably the first thing I ever baked! Just in time for Fairtrade Fortngiht, this recipe will be a great one to share with friends and family.

Shopping List

  • Porridge Oats: 250g
  • Fairtrade Sugar: 80g
  • Organic Butter: 60g
  • Margarine: 40g
  • Fairtrade Banana: 1
  • Golden Syrup: 2T
  • Fairtrade chocolate: 50g
  • Salt: Pinch

Cooking Instructions

  1. Melt your butter, margarine, sugar, syrup and salt in a pan till a smooth consistency is achieved.
  2. Mash your banana up and and add to the mix.
  3. Add the oats and stir so all the oats are covered in the mix.
  4. Chop up your chocolate and add to the mix and straight away put into a parchment lined tin and into a preheated over at 180 degrees celsius for 15 minutes or until the top starts to brown.
  5. Leave to cool in the tray and your done!
